This Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 27 and 28 at the AED conference center in Washington, D.C. the third Internet Security Operations and Intelligence workshop will be held.
The participant list, as security events go, is star-studded. If you follow popular security lists and blogs you'll recognize a lot of names, such as Johannes Ullrich from the ISC, Roger Thompson of Exploit Prevention Labs, worm maven Jose Nazario and conference organizer Gadi Evron of Beyond Security. The main focus will be on fastflux networks, fraud, DDoS and botnets.
It's not a conference for pushing your products or schmoozing. The idea is to talk about real ways to fight high-level malicious activity on the Internet.
The press, unfortunately, is not welcome at these events (BOOOO!!!!), but I'm sure I'll squeeze some stories out of participants afterwards.
