Fear of terrorism could lead to a "fake" epidemic in the wake of a real or perceived attack that could overwhelm the nation's hospitals, government analysts warned hospitals in 2006. The newly leaked document says fear led to outbreaks of "psychogenic illnesses" in Chechya, Japan and even once in California.
