I'm always looking for easy to use, inexpensive tools that meet basic security needs. Recently, I decided to look at a solution to a common challenge--protecting sensitive mobile data. The solution is TrueCrypt. An open-source product, TrueCrypt provides both hard disk and mobile storage device encryption functionality. In this post, I include a brief overview of TrueCrypt and my conclusions about it's fit as an enterprise mobile data protection tool.
