After the Internet Storm Center posted about Linus' remarks on security bugs (about which I also commented), they got a ton of e-mail.
In the next entry, the ISC summarized the reader mail. Consider this line: "About Linus' viewpoint to not provide any hint of a security bug aside of the fix itself in the source code, it stood out nobody spoke up to defend that viewpoint." Wow! I figured someone would defend him just because it's Linus!
I also disagree with him, but I suspect Linus is comfortable even if nobody agrees. I admire people who make up their own minds.
