Woule the Do not Track registry work like the Do not call registry?

Im not sure how good an idea this is. Im on every do not call list I can find and I still get calls.
I do believe if you use my data to make a profit, you should reimburse me a lil.

Two consumer groups asked the
Federal Trade Commission on Tuesday to create a “do not track
list” that would allow computer users to bar advertisers from
